FREE SWAG!  Who doesn’t want that?  I do!  Oh, wait, it’s my giveaway for one lucky reader.  To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of bentoriffic and all those who have supported me, I decided to get together a few of my favorite lunch making items to giveaway.  I tried to put together all the things that would get someone started with their own bento/lunchmaking kit for their kids in the fall.  Or better yet for the older kids, something to encourage them to make their OWN lunches.   I didn’t ask for freebies, but I did support some of my favorite products to give to one lucky winner.

Here’s what the loot consists of:

1 complete set of 4 Easy Lunch Boxes for packing meals.  They’re great for adults AND kids.

Two Plastic Egg Molds, a rabbit and a bear

A set of 10 adorable animal picks that are great for girls or boys.

A set of small deco cutters that are great for meat, cheese, fruits and vegetables.

a set of 4 stainless steel vegetable cutters:

And 12 Wilton Silicone square cups

This contest is only open to United States residents.

Please let me know in the comment section below either your favorite lunch I’ve made or one you’d like to see from bentoriffic.

YOU MUST “LIKE” BENTORIFFIC ON FACEBOOK TO WIN AND COMMENT BELOW IN ORDER TO WIN.

You may gain separate entries by signing up to receive my posts by email, tweeting or sharing this post.

Please leave SEPARATE messages for each thing that you do in order to get a separate entry.

This contest will go for 1 week, ending on June 18th at midnight.

The lucky winner will be chosen through random.org. I will post through my blog and on Facebook announcing the winner, and they will have 48 hours to contact me, or I will redraw the giveaway.

THANK YOU FOR READING, COMMENTING AND SUPPORTING MY FIRST YEAR.  I APPRECIATE YOU ALL!

My girls are at home with me during they day so unless we have an outing, we’re not packing many bento-style lunches these days.  Miss G is under the weather with a fever so we’re on quarantine for a few days too until she’s well.

Today Miss A asked more more little sandwiches.  I have some great options from my sets that I got from Bento USA.  I used the flower cutter from this set for her little flower sandwiches.  Click on the picture for the link to their site.

Miss A had Tofurkey deli slices on Rudi’s Whole Grain bread.  I used zucchini for the white flowers and the leftover rind for the stems of the flowers.  From the top left are Way Better brand Simply Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips (they have chia seeds and quinoa in them!), watermelon flowers and a flower of guacamole for dipping on the right.

Miss Sicky has a flop of a lunch.  I really meant to take some time with the teapot, but the more I tried the worse it looked.  Sometimes the image in my head is much prettier than the lunch itself. The teapot sandwich is a Tofurkey deli slice sandwich on Rudi’s Whole Grain bread.  The top is a slice of Vegan brand cheese.  I stared with a food coloring marker, and it went down hill from there.  I ripped the teapot handle, and I had to cover up some messy polka dots with some bad-for-you heart sprinkles to salvage it.  At the top left are watermelon flowers and at the top right are zucchini flowers.  The best part with little kids is that they even love the failures.

For all the smaller flowers, I use the flower cutter from this set of small cutters that I have.  I get lots of questions about which tools I use the most so I’m trying to include photos and links to those products for those who are interested.  I love these cutters because they never rust, they’re very easy to clean, and you can use them for just about any food item you want to cut.  If you click on the photo, it will take you to Bento USA’s site for more bento accessories.

Today is the last day to enter to win my FunBites Giveaway.

FunBites Giveaway

Stay tuned for another giveaway right around the corner!!!  Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend.

I have a bento supply and accessory addiction.  It’s no secret to anyone who knows me well. Here is a photo of my recent orders from Bento USA by All Things For Sale.  In my opinion, they are probably the most complete and affordable resource for bento supplies that can be purchased on line.

In my most recent package, I had a gift from Bento USA by All Things For Sale to try out so I made little Miss A’s lunch with it.  She loves the smaller sandwiches I make for her.   They don’t last long!  These cute cutters are a rabbit, an elephant and a bear.  Her sandwiches are on Rudi’s Whole Grain bread with Tofurkey brand deli slices (vegan) and Vegan brand cheese.  In the pink bunny container are dried cranberries, in the middle are green grapes with an elephant pick and in the blue bear are blueberries.

Here are the cutters I used.  Please click on the photo to view more items at Bento USA by All Things For Sale.

And Miss G has a heart with a surprised face.  At the top left are green and red grapes and at the top right are honeydew melon chunks with face picks.

Two more days to enter to win your choice of FunBites cutters!  Click on the link here and be sure to comment separately to receive each entry.

FunBites Giveaway

After a long weekend, I sent little Miss A back to school this morning.  When I kissed Miss G good morning, she was feverish so she stayed home with me today.  We’ve been fighting off something for almost 2 weeks now in our house.  We did get a small box of new, fun bento tools this weekend.  Our favorite so far is this little pick bus to hold all of our cute picks.  I have found http://www.allthingsforsale.com to be one of the best resources for bento supplies.  They are the most affordable with a wide selection of things.  This is the link for the pick bus:

Miss A had leftover Annie’s macaroni with edamame and leftover chicken satay today in the small round container. In the heart container are parmesan goldfish crackers, red seedless grapes underneath blackberries and star shaped strawberries.

Since Miss G is at home, she wanted to help make her lunch.  She chose an airplane and a bus for her sandwich shapes today.  In the pink sheep container are her gummy vitamins.  The brown squirrel container has red seedless grapes in it.  She chose all the new pics to poke in her fruit.  She loved the little hat on the strawberry and the jewels, flower and animal picks for the blackberries.

Thanks again for reading.  Hoping everyone had a restful Labor Day weekend!
