I am complying with yesterday’s request from Miss G for a van for V week at preschool.  It didn’t seem all that exciting to me, but if she’ll eat it I’m in.  She gets a Rudi’s whole grain van with Veggy brand vegan cheese VAN letters and a window.  Below the van is a road made of what my mom used to call “ants on a log”, celery with Justin’s Almond Butter and raisins on top.  Above the van are cashews and homegrown cherry tomatoes.  At the top right are watermelon flowers and on the bottom right are mango flowers in her Easy Lunch Box.

Little A gets a VASE for her V letter today made from the same Rudi’s whole grain bread.  In the large flower, she has a bunch of watermelon flower cutouts.  In the smaller cups she has dried apricots and dried cherries and cashews at the top right packed in her LunchBots stainless bento.

Miss G is still the only one at school so I decided on a routine traffic stop.  She loves the same thing every day.  Almond butter & strawberry jam on Rudi’s Nut & Oat bread is what she likes.  I used another LunchPunch from the transportation set since they’re studying things that go all week.

The windows on the car are Veggy brand cheese, and a lion pick is the driver today.  I used the same carrots today as I did yesterday for the wheels & stuck them on with almond butter.   In front of the car is a traffic light.  The strawberries are the red light, cantaloupe for orange and honeydew for the green light.  The bottom left flower cup has sliced kiwi in it and the bottom right are sliced soy ravioli packed in her Easy Lunch Box.

Day 2 of the transportation theme, and Miss G wanted a train today.   She had Rudi’s Oat & Nut bread with soy butter and strawberry jam.  On top of the train I used some funky carrots that I found at the local farmer’s market.  They were orange, yellow and a dark red so I thought they would make great wheels.  I stuck them on with the soy butter.  I also wanted to make steam coming out of the top, but I think it looks more like clouds which is fine too. I stuck a blue elephant pick in the sandwich so the train would have a driver.  At the top right are honeydew, cantaloupe and a watermelon heart.  Below that is a small rail car with the same carrot wheels carrying a load of green grapes all packed in her Easy Lunch Box.

Miss A was still sniffly so she was at home with me again this morning.  Big daddy however needed lunch today.  I made him an almond butter sandwich with jam on the same Rudi’s Oat & Nut bread.  He got a big dollar sign made of Veggy Cheese on top.  He also had some left over hoppin’ john salad made of black eyed peas, collard greens, celery, green peppers, onions, and some spices. And at the top left is the same melon hearts that Miss G had in hers packed in his Easy Lunch Box.

And he also had a salad from a salad bowl I’ve been growing in the back yard.  I used the rest of the multi-colored carrots in his lunch, an orange heirloom tomato and walnuts on top packed in his Lunchbots Uno.

It’s transportation week at school for the girls, but only Miss G is at school today.  Little A woke up with a cold so she’s at home today.  As usual, my LunchPunches save the day.  I recently got the transportation set which will be put to good use this week.  It’s great for boys an girls to teach them about how we get around.  Today’s airplane is on Rudi’s Whole Grain bread with Justin’s Almond Butter & jam.  The white for the airplane on top is a piece of Veggy brand soy cheese.  To the left of the sandwich in the green cloud shaped cup are watermelon clouds.  At the top left is a clementine cutie with a purple koala pick, and at the top right are honeydew hearts all packed in her Easy Lunch Box.  She also has an ice water with her lunch.
